Since I am a newbie, I'm still trying to figure things out, things such as how to post pictures instead of the link and which forums should I put my posts, etc. Any helpful hints will be greatly appreciated!

We use imagehosts, where we upload the pics. They give you thumbnailcodes (BBcode for bulletinboards and forums) in return, and these codes we post on this forum. When you want to see the full image you click the thumbnail and the imagehost will show you the fullsized image.

You used the wrong set of codes, for posts on a forum you need to use the BBcodes you get.
Now you uploaded only one picture, there is an easier way.
Download all the pics you want to show to us in a folder. Copy this folder to a compressed folder by rightclicking it. Your computer will make this compressed folder. Go to the imagebamsite and select [zip-upload]. Click [Browse] to find your compressedfolder, and open it by selecting it. Choose the [adult content] button and [scaled to 180x180px] (the others are too small) and upload.
Imagebam will upload all the pics from your folder to there servers and give you thumbnailcodes in return. Use the BBcode for posting them on this forum. The other codes are for websites only.
Many other imagehosts work the same way. Imagevenue is differant, there you have to select all pics manually one by one before uploading them.
